Trojan’s Yuliya Efimova turned in a world best in the women’s 100-meter breast at the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Orlando.
Efimova clocked a winning time of 1:05.70. Â That swim far surpassed the 1:06.58 she shared with Japan’s Rie Kaneto earlier this year. Â That’s less than a second off her career best of 1:05.02 set at the 2013 World Championships that ranks her fourth all time in the event’s history.
Tennessee’s Molly Hannis turned in a 1:07.37 for second tonight, off her 1:07.26 from prelims. Â Saint Petersburg’s Melanie Margalis tied Hannis with a 1:07.37 of her own for the final podium spot, moving to sixth in the world rankings.
