6 Meet Records Fall at Day 1 of Malaysia Open

On the first day of the 59th Malaysia Open Swimming Championships, six meet records fell.

Camille Lily Mei Cheng started the night with a meet record in the 100 freestyle. The Team Hong Kong swimmer touched in 55.34. Second place went to teammate Kin Lok Chan in 57.87. Team Indonesia’s Sagita Putri Krisdewanti rounded out the top three in 58.05.

Another meet record fell in the women’s 100 breaststroke as Phee Jinq En touched in 1:08.65. Second went to Erika Kong in 1:12.26 and third went to Vanesssa Evato At in 1:13.06.

The men’s 100 breaststroke also saw the meet record fall when Sandeep Sejwal finished in 1:02.45. Ka Fai Kwok finished in 1:02.99 and Kang Wong Fu was third in 1:03.52.
