By Cathleen Pruden, Swimming World College Intern

Eight meet records fell in night number one of ODAC action. Washington and Lee’s Tommy Thetford figured in on three of those records, including an 18.99 relay split.

Washington and Lee claimed the first Conference Title of the weekend as the team of Stephanie Foster, Cassidy Fuller, Sarah Schaffer, and Elle Chancey stopped the clock at 1:35.81 in the 200 freestyle relay. This was faster than Emory and Henry’s meet and open record. Emory and Henry was also under the old record. Michaela Nolte, Jessica Richardson, Marina Moore, and Mackenzie Lingle went a 1:36.39. Randolph-Macon’s Alexis Campbell, Megan Granger, Rachel Leigh, and Sierra Collins finished third (1:40.19).
