This morning of day three at the Great Lakes Valley Athletic Conference Championships the prelims for the men’s and women’s 500 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke and 200 butterfly were swam. Zuzanna Chwadeczko of Drury broke the women’s 100 breaststroke record.
Nikki Sission of Truman started off with the fastest women’s 500 freestyle time this morning with a 4:49.98. Sission was the winner of last night’s 200 freestyle as well. Behind Sission was two swimmers from Drury. Laura Brasier came in with the second fasted time of a 5:01.37 and Sarah Pullen, the winner of the 1000 free, came in third with a 5:02.22.
