Daniel Hunter Sets Meet Record at Day 2 of Oceania Championships

Day two of pool racing at the 2016 Oceania Championships in Fiji featured one meet record, a few repeat medal winners, and some close races.

A meet record fell in the men’s 100 freestyle as New Zealand’s Daniel Hunter stopped the clock in 49.49, well faster than the 2008 record of 49.83. His teammate Julian Weir was third with a 50.85 and Australia’s Jake Kersten touched second in 50.13.
