Dion Dreesens Crushes NCAA D2 200 Free Record

Queens’ Dion Dreesens absolutely dominated the field in the men’s 200-yard free at the 2016 NCAA Division II Championships, winning by nearly three seconds.

His time of 1:32.46 crushed his old NCAA DII record of 1:34.20 he set last month at Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships and was three seconds faster than what he swam this morning. This is the junior’s second individual title of the weekend after winning the 1000 last night.

West Chester’s Victor Polyakov took second in 1:35.11 and Simon Fraser’s Adrian VanderHelm finished a close third in 1:35.18.
