Kwok of LIU Post Broke METS 100 Butterfly Record

The Metropolitan Conference Championships day two finals were swam this evening. The men’s and women’s 200 medley relay, 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back and 800 free relay were swam. The women’s 200 medley relay and 100 butterfly METS records were broken.

LIU Post won the 200 medley relay going a 1:41.49 with their team of Seren Jones (25.67), Caitlin Johnstone (29.29), Joyce Kwok (23.84) and Meghan Brazier (22.69). With this time they also broke the previous METS record of 1:42.22. Bridgeport’s team of Yekaterina Gakhokidze (25.42), Jaimy Taskin (30.03), Nina Stegu (24.91) and Tatiana Shepel (22.65) went a 1:43.01 for second place. Ramapo College of NJ came third place (1:48.03) with the team of Danielle Bach (27.63), Brenda Arthur (30.46), Meghan Trewhella (26.83) and Maggie Herbert (23.11).
