Throughout the years, the CeraVe Invitational has not only been a major meet for teams from all over New Jersey, but has also been an opportunity for top swimmers from various states to compete against each other. Numerous Olympians, including Katie Ledecky and Elizabeth Beisel, have astonished the crowd with breathtaking swims at the CeraVe Invitational in the past.
The afternoon kicked off with the womens 13-14 200 meter freestyle. Long Island’s Briana Gellineau took the win in a 2:10.36. Chloe Stepanek also of Long Island, came in a 2:11.34, just missing the Eastern Zone Sectional cut by .25 of a second. Allison Tomsuden (North Baltimore) followed with a 2:12.73.
