Michael Andrew Sets NAG Record On Day 2 of Oklahoma Elite ProAm

Just a weekend after his dominant showing at the Speedo Winter Jr. National Championships, Michael Andrew was up to his old tricks on night two of the 2015 Oklahoma Elite Pro-Am. The 16-year-old lowered his National Age Group record in the 100-yard breaststroke, posting a time of 51.75.

The evening started with the women’s 200-yard freestyle. Lindsay Vrooman of Badger Swim Club won the race in 1:46.08, over two seconds ahead of the second place finisher. In the men’s event, New York Aquatic Club’s Darian Townsend brought home the win in 1:34.09.

Olympic Gold Medalist Breeja Larson won the women’s 100-yard breaststroke. Larson posted a time of 58.74 to win by over five seconds. Badger Swim Club’s Cody Miller took the men’s event in 50.82, just ahead of Andrew.
