Lakeside Aquatic Club’s Lauren Savoy has given her verbal commitment to the University of Missouri.
The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American swims for Marcus High School. Savoy is the Marcus High record holder in the 200 and 500 freestyles. At the 2016 6A Texas High School championship her top finish was a bronze in the 200 freestyle.
At this summer’s Futures championships in Austin she won the 200 breaststroke and the 200 IM and earned the meet’s High Point honors. Savoy’s long course and short course strengths are a bit different. With a short course season as successful as this long course one, she could broaden and strengthen her potential event lineup.
