Molly Hannis Cranks Out 2ndFastest January 100 Breast Ever at Geneva International

Molly Hannis threw down a personal best in the women’s 100-meter breast to break the meet record at the 2016 Geneva International

Hannis clocked a 1:06.47.  That swim clipped her previous best of 1:06.60 from the Dubai stop of the 2015 World Cup that ranked her eighth in the world last year.

Notably, she also smoked the meet record of 1:10.15 set by Elisa Celli back in 2014, and finished less than a second behind the January record of 1:05.71 set by Leisel Jones back in 2006. Hannis’ time still stands as the second-fastest 100-meter breast in January ever, clearing the 1:06.75 clocked by Katie Meili at the Austin stop of the Arena Pro Swim Series last week.

Constance Dean (1:11.65) and Lisa Mamie (1:12.09) finished a distant second and third today in the 100 breast.
