A pair of meet marks took a tumble on day two of the 2016 Speedo Flanders Cup as Rachael Kelly and Danas Rapsys both put up strong swims.
Rachael Kelly set the meet record in the women’s 100-meter fly with a 57.74, just off her 11th-ranked 57.71 from last year’s British Championships. Â She lowered the previous record of 57.90 by Inge Dekker back in 2007.
Kristel Vourna finished second in 58.99 with Emilie Beckmann taking third in 59.82.
Danas Rapsys crushed his meet record in the men’s 200-meter back with a time of 1:56.72. That swim smashed his 1:58.04 set last year, and would have ranked him 14th in the world last year. Lander Hendrickx (2:01.91) and Nils Van Audekerke (2:02.13) rounded out the podium.
