This morning the Southern Connecticut’s men and women teams set themselves up well for the Day 2 finals of the Northeast 10 Conference Championships. The men are going into finals seeded first in all three of today’s individual events (500 freestyle, 200 Im and 50 freestyle) and the women are going in seeded first in two of the three (500 freestyle and 50 freestyle).
For the men, SCSU started the morning off strong with senior Louis Geist who came in with the fastest time of the morning in the 500 freestyle of a 4:36.75. Another Southern Connecticut senior, Raymon Cswerko, is seeded first going into finals tonight in the 200 IM with a time of 1:53.50. Â Brendan Murphy also represented Southern Connecticut well by touching first in the 50 freestyle in a time of 21.05.
