Stanford’s Ella Eastin provided the Cardinal with some salve to mend its wounds from the 200-yard free relay disqualification by throwing down an American and NCAA record in the women’s 200-yard IM at the 2016 NCAA Division I Women’s Championships.

Eastin unleashed a time of 1:51.65, downing the American, U.S. Open and NCAA record of 1:51.77 set by Caitlin Leverenz for California back in 2012.

That’s Stanford’s NCAA record ninth victory in the event’s history.
