SwimMAC Carolina continued their dominant showing on day two of the East Speedo Winter Jr. National Championships in Atlanta, Georgia. Their combined men’s and women’s squad is now up to 308 team points, nearly 100 points ahead of the second place Bolles School Sharks.
Thursday’s finals began with the women’s 500-yard freestyle. Hannah Cox of Upper Valley Aquatic Club took the event with a time of 4:37.82. Chattahoochee Gold Swim Team’s Lauren Case took second in 4:40.28.
In the men’s event, Tennessee Aquatics’ Walker Higgins earned the gold medal with a time of 4:18.40. His time was less than a half second ahead of silver medalist Trey Freeman.
