TCNJ Upsets JHU in NCAA D3 Featured Meet of the Week

The CSCAA‘s ninth-ranked The College of New Jersey Lions upset number four Johns Hopkins Blue Jays in a tri meet with Division two West Chester University. The TCNJ and JHU meet was a NCAA D3 Featured Meet of the Week. TCNJ beat JHU by a score of 163.5 to 124.5.

TCNJ topped the Blue Jays in the opening 200 medley relay, finishing in a 1:34.70 ahead of JHU’s 1:36.41.

JHU claimed the top two spots in the men’s 1,000. Andrew Greenhalgh was as dominant as expected. He claimed the event in a time of 9:36.23 and his teammate Erik Bostrom finished second in a 9:45.85. Logan Barnes from TCNJ was the third D3 finisher in a 10:00.60.

The top D3 finisher in the 200 freestyle was JHU’s Evan Holder with a second place time of 1:43.43. His teammate John Chu was fourth in 1:44.37. TCNJ’s Scott Vitabile was third in 1:43.99.
