Leila Vaziri was a member of the USA National Team in 2006-2008. Winning the 100 backstroke at the 2006 Nationals qualified Leila for the 2007 World Championships held in Melbourne Australia. In Melbourne, Leila won the 50 Backstroke and set a World Record time of 28.16.  You can read more about Leila’s swimming accomplishments here at Swimming World .

Leila is currently a swim coach in New York City, coaching children to adults in master classes and private lessons. Leila coaches on the basis of technique being the foundation of swimming.
