Nathan Adrian qualified for his second individual event for Rio by winning the men’s 50 free, stopping the clock in 21.51. His time was .01 faster than runner-up Anthony Ervin.
Adrian’s time ranks him third in the world this year. This will be his third Olympic Games.
He talked to the media after his race about being able to see Ervin and the importance of winning medals at international competitions.
