California’s Ryan Murphy has been unstoppable this week in the 100 backstroke, breaking his NCAA and American record in the men’s 100-yard back at the 2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Championships.

Murphy won the finale tonight in 43.49 to down his record of 43.51 set as the relay leadoff for California in the 400-yard medley relay.
